Police officer kills father in Bihar

A police sub-inspector has allegedly killed his father here over a property dispute, the Patna police said Monday.

The police officer, M.K. Madhup, is absconding and a manhunt has been launched to nab him. Madhup was posted at Dwaripuri under Patrakarnagar police station.

Arjun Prasad, 75, a retired government official, and a father of four sons and a daughter, was killed Sunday night following a scuffle over property.

'One of the sons of Arjun alleged that Madhup killed his father when he refused to give him a huge amount and a share the in property,' said Sudhansu Sekhar, officer in charge of the police station.
