Prisoner beats up cops in Aurangabad jail

A prisoner at a jail in Aurangabad beat up two policemen Monday with a weapon made of spoons, the police said.

According to the police, the accused, Mahadev Asam Silode, who was convicted for kidnapping, got into an argument with two police officials at the Harsul jail. He took them unawares when he attacked them with a weapon hidden under his belt.

A case has been registered against him.
