Tamil Nadu police on high alert after Jaipur blasts

Police forces have been placed on high alert in Tamil Nadu following the Jaipur blasts, which killed at least 60 people, to prevent any untoward incident, Director General of Police K.P. Jain told reporters here Tuesday night.

'All leave has been cancelled in the state and pickets have been posted at all vulnerable points to prevent anti-social elements exploiting the situation,' Jain said.

However, the police said the overall situation in the state was peaceful.
