A 27-year-old disc jockey's (DJ) body was found in Manori beach in north-west Mumbai Tuesday afternoon.

Senior Police Inspector Manor Kalekar said: 'DJ Reves D'costa's body was found here at 11:30 a.m. near the shores.'

There were scratches all over his body, suggesting the death to be suspicious, officials said.

'We are still trying to establish the circumstances surrounding his death. An autopsy will determine his exact cause of death,' he said.

According to the police, D'costa had gone to Gorai beach in north Mumbai with a group of friends Sunday to celebrate the success of his album last month.
