Railway Minister Lalu Prasad has ordered that a feasibility survey be conducted here for the introduction of a monorail service, which he called his 'dream project'.

Impressed by the monorails he saw during his recent visits to Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, Lalu Prasad wants the service to be introduced in his home state.

'I have ordered Enron to undertake a survey of Patna before preparing a detailed feasibility report. The monorail will help ease the traffic congestion in Patna,' the railway minister told reporters here Thursday.

Lalu Prasad said work on the monorail project will commence soon.
