Police in Jaipur get letter threatening terror attacks

From correspondents in Rajasthan, India, 02:31 PM IST

A letter addressed to the police, warning that bomb attacks will be carried out here, was found in a flowerpot in front of a branch of an international bank Thursday.

'We were informed by employees of the HSBC bank in the C-Scheme area that they had found the letter in a flowerpot in front of the bank. The letter says, 'Be prepared for a bomb blast between June 6 and 10.' We are looking into it and have launched investigations,' a police official told IANS.

On May 13, 65 people were killed and over 200 injured when serial blasts rocked Jaipur's walled city. The terror attack was the first in the history of the Rajasthan capital.
