A 28-year-old man from Madhya Pradesh reportedly committed suicide by consuming poison in a hotel in the walled city area here, the police said Friday.

The body of Animesh Gogoria was found in a room of hotel Indian Continental in Nabi Karim area when the staff went to check on him early Friday morning.

When Animesh did not open the door despite repeated knocks, the management opened the door with duplicate keys and found Gogoria dead.

The police said a suicide note recovered from Gogoria, who had come to Delhi Thursday, reads: "I am committing suicide due to family troubles. No one should be held responsible for this."

The police have sent the body for a post-mortem examination and Gogoria's family has been informed.
