Student commits suicide in Ghaziabad

A student of a reputed technical institute here allegedly committed suicide after consuming poisonous substance, the police said here Sunday.

Mohammad Amir, a student of master's degree course in computer applications at the Integrated Academy of Management and Technology here, was found dead by his room mate in Gangapuram locality of Ghaziabad, a suburb of the national capital.

His room mate, Santosh Yadav, said that both of them had dinner together the previous night. 'In the morning, he did not wake up. When I found him, he was already dead,' Yadav said.

Superintendent of Police Jagdish Sharma said, 'Prima facie it seems to be a case of suicide but we are awaiting the outcome of the post-mortem examination.'
