NDTV Friday announced the appointment of Sameer Kapoor as CEO of its Hindi news channel, NDTV India.

Until recently, Kapoor was president, Metropolitan Media Co. Pvt. Ltd., the joint venture between the Times Group and HT Media.

At NDTV, he will look after revenues, distribution and general management, besides exploring new initiatives, an NDTV press statement here said.
