President Pratibha Patil Thursday emphasized need to strengthen international cooperation to fight terrorism while referring to the attack on Indian embassy in Kabul in which 54 people, including a diplomat and a Brigadier, were killed.

'Developing countries were the most vulnerable to impacts of climate change and need financial resources and technologies to meet the challenge,' a press statement quoting Patil said.

She was speaking at a ceremony in Rashtrapati Bhavan where envoys of four countries presented their credentials to her.

Noting that all four ambassadors were from developing countries, Patil said the main challenge confronting developing countries was eradication of poverty and development.

The envoys who presented their credentials were Lebanon's ambassador Khaled Salman, Indonesian ambassador Lieutenant General (retd) Andi Muhammad Ghalib, Mongolian ambassador Voroshilov Enkhbold, and Peruvian ambassador Manuel Ernesto Picasso Botto.
