A businessman was shot dead near a railway station here Monday morning, the police said.

Manish Kumar, who supplied medicines to NTPC staff working on a power project at Barh, about 40 km from here, was killed by unknown assailants near Barh Railway Station premises in Patna, said the police.

The police is suspecting business rivalry or extortion behind the killing.
