Two Maoist rebels arrested in Jharkhand

The Jharkhand police Monday arrested two hardcore Maoist rebels in Khuti district, the police said. Three pistols and live cartridges were seized from the arrested rebels.

Acting on a tip-off, the police arrested the rebels from Panchdhara Road connecting Ranchi and Khuti. One rebel, Robin Purty, was a former area commander and founder member of Jharkhand Liberation Front, a break-away group of Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist).
