Twenty people were killed when the jeep they were travelling in fell into a large drain here early Tuesday, police said.

K.K. Singh, officer incharge Alamganj police station, said the driver lost control of the vehicle and it fell into the drain near Danka-Imli at about 3 a.m.

The bodies of all the victims were recovered and sent for post mortem.
