At least five soldiers were killed and several wounded in a militant attack in the Kashmir valley Saturday, the police said.

According to the police, suspected separatist guerrillas exploded an IED targeting an army convoy near Narbal, 15 km from here, on the Srinagar-Baramulla highway.

The police said the bus carrying the army personnel was destroyed in the explosion and the death toll may increase.
