Employee of The Statesman shot in brawl

An employee of The Statesman daily was shot dead by one of his friends Monday night after a brawl in the basement of the Statesman House building in Connaught Place.

The employee, Sher Bahadur, a driver, was drinking with two of his friends in the basement parking of the building when an argument ensued between them. One of the men pulled out a gun and pumped a bullet into Sher Bahadur's head. After killing him, the assailant went to the upper parking slot of the basement where the printing press is located. He threatened the people there.

The police were called and they arrested the man. His identity is not known.
