Three students from Tamil Nadu drowned in the Walayar dam reservoir near here Friday, the police said.

The three were identified as Manoj Prabhakar, Sidharth and Kishore, all second-year students of the CMS College at Coimbatore. The police said they were natives of Ooty in Tamil Nadu.

The accident took place when the students ventured into the dam waters for a bath.
