Five people were killed and half a dozen others injured when a speeding oil tanker collided with a tractor near Mathura in Uttar Pradesh, the police said.

The incident occurred Thursday evening at Tarsi Tiraha crossing. The tanker was coming from the Mathura oil refinery.
