Five cops killed in Chhattisgarh landmine attack

At least five policemen were killed and six others injured Thursday when Maoist insurgents triggered a powerful landmine blast in Chhattisgarh's Surguja district, a police official said.

The incident took place in a thick forested hamlet in Surguja district, some 520 km south of capital Raipur, close to the Jharkhand border. Three Central Reserve Police Force personnel were among those killed.
