BSP legislator's domestic help found dead

A Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) legislator's domestic help was found dead under mysterious circumstances at the MLAs' Hostel here Sunday, the police said.

'The deceased, Amit Mishra, was found hanging from a ceiling fan and a couple of chairs were also found toppled under his legs,' senior superintendent of police (Lucknow) Akhil Kumar told IANS.

A suicide note was recovered from the spot, he said, adding: 'We are studying the suicide note and are also questioning people who were around at the time of the incident.'

Mishra worked as domestic help to Sushil Singh, nephew of jailed don Brijesh Singh.

Sushil Singh represents the Dhanapur constituency in Chandauli district, 350 km from here.

Room number 8 of the MLAs' Hostel in Hazratganj locality was allotted to Singh and he was not in the city at the time of the incident, the police said.
