A 35-year-old lecturer in a private college was killed on the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway near Delhi when a speeding vehicle knocked down the scooter he was riding, the police said.
The hit-and-run accident occurred Thursday night near Nalgarha locality on the Expressway. The dead man was identified as Rajendra Prasad, a resident of Ashok Vihar in Delhi.
He was returning home from Greater Noida when an unidentified vehicle hit him. He was rushed to a hospital where he was declared dead.
