11 bogies of goods train derail in Jharkhand

At least eleven bogies of a goods train derailed in the Dhanbad railway division of Jharkhand early Sunday, railway authorities said.

The train derailed between Gomoh and Telo railway stations of Dhanbad railway division, about 190 km from here. This is the second time that a goods train derailed in this division.

The railway services have been affected as Rajdhani Express, running on two routes Ranchi-New Delhi and New Delhi-Bhubaneshwar, and four other trains have been diverted.

According to railway officials, the railway services will resume by late evening Sunday.

Primary investigations reveal that thefts of iron objects are rampant in Dhanbad railway division and thieves could have removed the fish plates from the rail track, the officials said.
