The Election Commission Thursday said that four officials on poll duty have died in Madhya Pradesh. Though the exact reason for the deaths are not known, the officials blamed the heat wave.

'While two employees died in Bhopal Wednesday, one each died in Shahdol and Hoshangabad Thursday,' Additional Electoral Officer Sanjay Pandey said here.

'Though the exact reason behind the deaths is not known, heat stroke appears to have been the cause,' he said.
