One policeman was killed and four others injured in a road accident in Kulgam district Thursday even as polling continued peacefully throughout this south Kashmir Lok Sabha constituency.

'The mobile bunker of the special operations group (SOG) of the local police overturned on the road in Kulgam this morning resulting in the death of one constable and injuries to four other policemen travelling in it.

'The injured have been taken to hospital for treatment,' a senior police officer told IANS here.

A mobile bunker is a reinforced vehicle used by security forces.
