Four people died and 20 were taken ill after they consumed spurious liquor in West Bengal's East Midnapore district Monday.

The tragedy occurred in the Matangini block of district headquarters Tamluk, the state police control room said.

Fourteen of the indisposed have been sent to the state-run S.S.K.M. hospital here.
