The wife of an industrialist was murdered and their house robbed of jewellery and valuables worth Rs.20 lakhs here Monday, police said.

Armed robbers barged into the couple's Satish Park residence in Modinagar and killed Urmila, 55, wife of Sarvish Dadu, owner of the Noida-based Mayur Cables Ltd, Senior Superintendent of Police Akhil Kumar told IANS.

Dadu and his son Rakesh had gone to work. Rakesh's wife Shalu was on the first floor of the house.
