One man was killed and six Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel were injured in a clash inside the Bokaro Steel Plant in Jharkhand, police said Friday.

'Around 20 thieves entered the plant around 11.30 p.m. Thursday and were trying to steal copper wire coil worth Rs.100,000. The CISF personnel spotted them and asked them to surrender,' a police officer said.

'The thieves started pelting stones and fired at the CISF personnel. The personnel then retaliated and one thief was killed. Six CISF personnel were also injured,' the police officer added.
