Twenty specially abled children had a memorable time when they were given a ride in Delhi Metro on the occasion of World Disability Day Thursday.

Wide eyed with excitement and smiling gleefully, the children - some on wheel chairs - took the Metro from the newly opened Noida city centre station to Mayur Vihar in east Delhi.

Saksham Daksh, an NGO, organised the special ride. According to Javed Abidi, convenor of the Disabled Rights Group (DRG), there are an estimated 70 million disabled people in the country.
