Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated in Pakistan Wednesday, it was announced Monday.

Pakistan's moon sighting authority, the Ruet-i-Hilal committee, said here the Shawal moon was not sighted anywhere in the country and so Eid will be celebrated Wednesday, the Geo Television reported.

The government has announced holidays Oct 23-27 for the festival, which marks the end of the holy fasting month of Ramadan.
