Suspected Maoist guerrillas attacked a Janata Dal-United (JD-U)legislator on the outskirts of the Jharkhand capital Wednesday killing two of his security guards and critically injuring the lawmaker, the police said.
Ramesh Munda was attending a function when the leftist insurgents opened fire at him, said R.K. Malik, a police spokesman.
Munda was taken to a hospital in a critical condition, Malik added.
