UPA government fall imminent: Venkaiah Naidu

From correspondents in Tamil Nadu, India, 10:30 PM IST

Bharatiya Janata Party vice-president M. Venkaiah Naidu Sunday predicted the fall of the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) regime during the ensuing confidence vote despite 'its unfair means to survive'.

'The UPA regime is engaged in a vain attempt to survive by unfair means even as it is diverting people's attention from pressing issues like inflation and price rise,' said Naidu.

'Though the BJP is not against the US per se, our principled stand that the nuclear deal should be re-negotiated will be vindicated after the UPA regime falls due its own contradictions,' Naidu added.
