Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) general secretary Prakash Karat may be known for his strict and dogmatic approach in his own party, but before Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati he was apparently like a student who still had a lot of lessons to learn in politics.
According to sources, Mayawati "scolded" Karat for sitting "coolly" after withdrawing support to the Congress-led government. Apparently it was Mayawati who advised the Communist leader to initiate moves to topple Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's government. Like a good student, Karat immediately got into action and started attempts to oust the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government.
