Lights, cameras... all action at parliament

From correspondents in Delhi, India, 03:01 PM IST

All eyes of the nation - or at least the national media - were Monday on parliament house as MPs started arriving for the crucial trust vote debate that will decide the fate of the Manmohan Singh-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government.

Scores of cameras and hordes of camerapersons, reporters, news analysts and others swarmed the Parliament House complex as the MPs and top leaders of all parties started arriving for the crucial trust vote.

To enable the media stationed outside with cameras not to miss the proceedings inside, the Lok Sabha administration installed two TV monitors outside at the area where all the media is normally stationed.

Every MP and party leader who came in was being closely being followed by the alert cameras. There were ripples of excitement as leaders like Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Congress president Sonia Gandhi, Leader of Opposition L.K. Advani and Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi arrived.
