President Pratibha Patil will receive a D.Litt degree from Lucknow University Sep 23, according to varsity officials.

'It will be a privilege for the university to have the president as its alumni,' vice-chancellor A.S. Brar told IANS Saturday.

'Raj Bhawan sources have confirmed the president's visit to Lucknow (on Sep 23),' said a senior university official.
