A private plane flying Congress president Sonia Gandhi from Delhi to Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu Thursday made an emergency landing at Bangalore after it developed a snag in its engine, airport sources here said.

'It was a GMR plane. It made a priority landing because of some problem in the right engine,' the sources said.

Another plane was chartered for Gandhi to fly to Chennai, a state Congress party leader said.
