When I was there for a year in the US, I found thousands of Guaratis working sincerely and honestly as employees and managers/ owners in many medium and small undertakings. They have grown shining also in the large industries. Proportionately they are more than the other communities like Punjabis, UP-wallahs.

Gujaratis (and Parsis) have been singled out as superior among the enterprizing communities of India by the late management high priest,Guru Peter Drucker. If anything this thoughtful compliment by an authentic Prabandh Acharya has been only further reinforced by more recent history of Gujaratis setting up and conquering new and vaster territories in the business world. Mr Narendra Modi is, to all positive thinkers and analysts of socioeconomic global scene, the symbol of this dynamism of the Gujaratis, many of whom are no great masters of English so much as they are of the English speaking business world, and many of them are in both senses. Gujaratis are indeed a model to follow in the social, economi, and well, political spheres for all Indian diaspora, both the local ones and the foreign settled or reared.
