Sukhram Mahto, a legislator of Jharkhand's ruling Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), Saturday surrendered to a Bokaro court in connection with a brutal assault on three people in 1996.

Mahto surrendered in the court of Justice D.K. Mishra in Tenughat of Bokaro district, which sent him to judicial custody.
