President Patil to visit Chhattisgarh

President Pratibha Patil will arrive here Sunday evening on a two-day trip to Chhattisgarh, a statement of the state government said Saturday.

'The president will reach Raipur from New Delhi Sep 28 at 4.20 p.m. by an Indian Air Force plane. She will make a night halt at the Raj Bhawan,' the statement said.

The president's main purpose of visiting Chhattisgarh is to attend the golden jubilee function of a girls degree college at Raipur Sep 29.

Before leaving for the national capital Sep 29, she will fly to state's southern Bastar region to visit the famous sightseeing site, Chitrakote waterfalls on Indravati river, some 340 km from Raipur, officials said.
