Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister R.R. Patil Monday submitted his resignation to Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh, a close aide said.

'Patil tendered his resignation to Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh in the morning owning up responsibility for the Mumbai attack,' Patil's aide told IANS.
