Re-balloting ordered in two polling stations in New Delhi

The Election Commission Monday ordered repoll in two polling stations in Kasturba Nagar assembly segment in New Delhi constituency after some people whose names had been deleted from the electoral rolls had cast votes.

The Election Commission has found that the people whose names were deleted had cast their votes in polling station No.12 and 13 in Kasturba Nagar assembly segment in New Delhi constituency, Deputy Election Commissioner R. Balakrishnan told reporters, adding that the repoll will be held May 13.

Balakrishnan said 91 such people cast their votes in polling station No. 12, while 141 did so at polling station No. 13.

Elections to Delhi's seven Lok Sabha constituencies were held May 7 - the fourth phase of elections.
