The curtains came down on the staggered Lok Sabha elections Wednesday evening with voting ending in the fifth and final round covering 86 constituencies across nine states and union territories.

The counting of votes will take place Saturday, with most pundits predicting a badly splintered 545-member Lok Sabha.
