Red FM continued its winning streak at the 33rd All India RAPA awards, 2008. The awards, held on May 13, 2008, felicitated the best and most deserving in the radio industry. RED FM picked up 5 awards, in various categories including those for:
- Radio Program Channel Produced (Hindi) - Mumbai Local – RJ Mantra,
- Radio Jockey Male (Hindi) – RJ Nitin,
- RAPA D. S. Mittle Trophy Campaign of the Year on Radio – Kavi ki kalpana,
- Radio Jingle Hindi – Prayaas,
- Radio Sponsored Program Humor Hindi – RED FM Profile (Shendi)
The RAPA awards that have been in existence for the last 33 years are the most prestigious awards for the Indian radio industry. These awards are also a platform for excellence for those involved with this medium and are considered the highest recognition for radio talent all over the country.
Abraham Thomas, COO, Red FM, expressed his delight at yet another victory. “RED FM has continued its award winning streak at the 33rd All India RAPA awards. After receiving the listener’s votes and being declared the No.1 Station, it’s great to get this recognition from the jury! We are extremely delighted at this honour that has been bestowed on us.”
He further added, “It is a true recognition of all the hard work that the RED FM team has put in all these months. RED FM has won a total of 21 awards over the last two years, making it one of the highest award winning FM stations in the radio industry. Last year at the 32nd All India RAPA Awards, RED FM bagged three of the most prestigious awards for the Best Radio Show for ‘Morning No.1 with Malishka’, Best Female Jockey - Malishka, and Best Male Jockey - Mantra.
