SQL Star International shows record performance for financial year 2007-08 Sales up by 52% for the year

SQL Star International Limited has announced its audited financial results for the year ended 31st March 2008. The performance for this financial year has been excellent, with sales revenues going by 52% this year and the Profit Before tax registering a record 49% increase.

Commenting on the performance of the company, Mr. NR Ganti, Chairman and Managing Director, said, "We are very proud to announce that SQL Star has done well in all the segments: Software Development & Services by more than 81%, e-Governance by 23% & Education & Training by 14% over the previous year. Also the embedded solutions division has accounted for significant revenues as a result of prestigious orders from international CDMA players from North America."

FINANCIAL HIGHLIGHTS

Consolidiated

During the year, the company witnessed exponential growth in the segments of Software Development & Services, Education & Training and e-Governance, netting in a cumulative Rs. 10,568.27 lacs in sales revenue, as compared to Rs. 6,939.08 lacs the previous year, registering a 52 % increase.

The Profit Before Tax posted for the financial year 2007-08 is Rs. 538.20 lacs as against Rs. 362.24 lacs in the previous year, registering a 49 % increase.

Stand Alone

The Company has registered a record growth of 21% at Rs. 5063.85 lacs in the financial year 2007-08, as compared to Rs.4191.88 lacs in the previous year.

The Profit Before Tax posted for the financial year 2007-08 is Rs. 284.13 lacs as against Rs. 231.52 lacs in the previous year, registering a 23 % increase.
