The 4th Working Managers' Programme (WMP) inaugurated at IIM Lucknow's NOIDA campus

IIM Lucknow’s Noida Campus today inaugurated its 4th batch of Working Managers’ Programme (WMP). Dr. Devi

Singh, Director, IIM Lucknow inaugurated the 2008-2011 batch at IIML’s Noida Campus premises. Prof. Punam Sahgal, Dean, Noida Campus, Prof. Amit Mookerjee, Chaiman-WMP, Prof. Ajay Singh, Chaiman MDP and CIC, and other faculty members were also present on the occasion.

Working Managers’ Programme is the pioneering programme of Noida Campus. It was launched in 2005 along with the launch of the NOIDA campus as a three year part time programme in Management for professionals having minimum three years of work experience.

(WMP) is a uniquely designed programme for working executives, entrepreneurs and professionals who have a desire to enhance their knowledge and skills in a formal setting while continuing to be engaged in their ongoing professions/ businesses. The programme is especially structured to meet learning aspirations of enthusiastic and bright executive and will inculcate in them strong conceptual fundamentals and skills required to manage businesses of the future.

“Our WMP is shaping up better than expected. The WMP is a programme that is unique in all its aspects – be it the pedagogy, our teaching methodology, industry interactiveness, etc.”, says Dr. Devi Singh, Director, IIM Lucknow. The WMP saw its first batch passing out recently. “Our focus is on imparting the management knowledge to an experienced professional that allows him to become a top-notch manager”, he adds.

“The WMP will help its students become management leaders and change agents to take leadership roles in the global arena. The program has proved to be very successful in providing practical and advance management education to the middle and senior level managers while on the job”, says Prof. Amit Mookerjee, Chairman, WMP, IIM Lucknow.

There has been a steep rise in number of applications for the programme proving it to be one step ahead of any other part time programme for working managers. There was a great response from working professionals, based on the success of previous batches. The final list has 68 participants which is the highest till now.
