Mary Kay Cosmetics India Pvt Ltd., one of the world’s largest direct sellers of skin care and color cosmetics, announced to open its 1st Beauty Centre in Mumbai, the fashion capital of India in the month of September, 2008. Mary Kay India is headquartered in Gurgaon, with a Beauty Center in Delhi’s fashionable Rectangle-1 Mall in Saket.
Mary Kay also announced expansion of its India portfolio by introducing the latest Global Color Cosmetics range.
With the company’s mission to enrich women’s lives, Mary Kay India launched the internationally acclaimed “Model Of Beauty” search campaign. Mary Kay believes that every woman is a “Model of Beauty”- Beautiful from the “inside out”. Through this search Mary Kay will recognize ordinary women who are actually extraordinary because they excel and inspire others in their role as daughter, wife, mother, professional, home-maker etc.
The judges of the Model Hunt are Hina Nagarajan, Country Manager, Mary Kay India; Dr. Kiran Bedi, Founder Chairperson NGO Navjyoti; Sameer Parekh, Celebrity Photographer and Gopika Pillai, Celebrity Make-up artist. Results of the “Model of Beauty” search would be declared in January 2009.

On the occasion, Mary Kay Cosmetics India took a pledge to donate the proceeds from the “Beauty That Counts” Apple Berry Lipstick campaign to Dr.Kiran Bedi’s NGO - Navjyoti India Foundation, which works for empowerment of women and helps them become self sustainable. As a part of this campaign from July 1st – Dec 31st 2008, Mary Kay India will donate 100% of its net profits from the sale of Mary Kay Crème Lipstick Apple Berry to Navjyoti India Foundation to support computer literacy for the underprivileged girls. This is yet another initiative by Mary Kay India towards Enriching Women’s Lives.
