Pune's Swankiest destination The O- hotel starts operations.

The latest landmark and theswankiest destination O - ahip (highly interesting place concept)business hotel and new venture of the Pune based OxfordProperties group is all set to start operations with its official launch onthe9th ofAugust.

Speaking to reporters on the eve of the launch on Pune's latest and premium hotels the directors of Oxford hospitality Mr. Anil and Rohan Seolekar said thatO is a young hotel with a "hip" concept, with a positioning matching none in the city.

The O will be a feast of a hotel which will keep conscious view of the "O experience" and pamper the business traveler to the fullest. The hotel has been designed keepingin mindthe traveler's feelings, needs and requirementsaway from home, Mr. Anil Seolekar said

He further added according to various surveys there was a demand for around1500 rooms in the city and also a substantial need for hotels to come up in different areas looking at the ongoing expansion of the city.

Architectured by Shekar Patki with the interiors designed by South Africancreator Les Harbottle, the O has been conceptualized and created keepingin mind the essence of the O philosophy. The O stands out in plush Koregaon Park where the Osho serenity prevails with the most premium up market residential zone of green Pune is known for, Mr. Rohan Seolekar added.

Mr. Anil Seolekar said that Oxford properties have been into premium housing projects and creating landmarks, recently the group had taken a decision to venture into the hospitality business. We have launched 0-Pune first in the city as it is our home town, the next venture planned by the group would be in Goa with operations expected to beginin October.

Mrs. Neelam Seolekar the conceptualiser, designer and director of Oxford hospitality, said that O will house 112 well designeddeluxerooms, suites with private lounges on executive levels and arelaxation spa.

The other salient features of O is an all day dining called "kitsch", Japanesefine dining &specialty restaurant - "Harajuku", the only authentic Japanese restaurant in the city, with cooks and raw materials flown in from Japan to make it a true Japanese experience and a newIndian rooftopgrill"Addah", with its icicle bar Minnus , she added.

The O spa has also signed a joint venture with Pevonia- a US based spa brand will house 7 treatment rooms, a nail and hair clinic, that will be one way to pamper the traveler to revel in the stress filled life and to de-stress in their free time, Neelam Seolekar added
