The Mulshi Institute of Technology and Research (MITR) Organised its First Orientation Programme

The Mulshi Institute of Technical & Research (MITR)an Engineering Institute initiated by the Ignited Minds Society, organized a three-day orientation programme at their campusthat commenced on Friday 22nd August and came to an end on 24th August.

The programme was inaugurated at the hands of the Chief Guests Mr. Kumar Joshi, Managing Director, Greaves Faryman Diesel, Dr. Y.V. Varma, Executive Director, LG Electronics and Mr. Avijit Bardhan, Sr. Vice President, Infa-soft Technology with the lighting of the traditional lamp, which was followed by a welcome speech by Dr. Saroja Asthana, Advisor MITR and Dr. Pramod Kumar, President MITR.

The programme was based on a theme titled "Prologue-the beginning" with "Guidance & Industry interaction" which was designed to familiarize fresh batch of students with learning processes followed at MITR.

During the three days a two day technical Exhibition was held where Books, Computers and Accessories required for Engineering Studies was displayed.

An elated Dr. Pramod Kumar, President MITR said, "We are extremely glad to welcome the students to our institute and we hope to deliver the best to them. Top notch corporate professionals from across the country were present at the institute giving the students an effective insight into these fields they have decided to make their career in".

He further added, "Engineering education is in great demand especially after the change towards liberalization, privatization and globalization. More and more students desire for quality education in engineering with limited seats available. There is a need to fill this gap through building a quality conscious technical institute".

The three days' extensive program, which has a blend of information, interaction and entertainment, is indeed to condition the students with learning habits needed for pursuing education in engineering institute. It provides them an insight as to "what an industry is?", triggers the enthusiasm and assert them to know that "MITR" is the best option so that they start their learning process at MITR with best spirits.

On 24th August 2008 a one-day adventure and fun trip to Sinhgad has been organised for all students and staff.
