Barry-Wehmiller International Resources (BWIR), a global information technology and engineering consulting solutions provider, has moved its primary operations in India to a new location in Velachery, Chennai. The new location provides a larger facility to allow the growing firm to better meet the needs of its expanding global client base.

The opening ceremony was commemorated by special guest Andrew T. Simkin, Consular General of the U.S. Consulate in India. Also in attendance were Craig Hergenroether, CIO Barry-Wehmiller Companies, Inc.; Vasant Bennett, President and Managing Partner of BWIR; and Senthil Kumar, Vice President and Partner of India Operations for BWIR.

“This is the right time to expand our India operations to tap into the huge engineering and IT talent pool,” Senthil Kumar stated. “We plan on increasing our headcount in the coming months and to strategically position our India operations as a key outsourcing hub for delivering world-class IT automation, design and engineering solutions to maintain our market leadership position.”
