Acting provides emotions and expression into animation, said Mr Paresh Parekh, creative head of Frameboxx Animation and Visual Effects, Mumbai, who is in Chandigarh to conduct special acting and film making classes for the students of animation.
A well known artist of the Hindi and Gujarati television media, Mr. Paresh Parekh is has been the casting director for Ketan Mehta's film, ‘Mangal Pandey: The Rising’ Dream Production's ‘Naina’, Rakeysh Ompraksh Mehra's ‘Rang De Basanti’, Percept Picture's 'Jai Santoshi Maa', upcoming thriller ‘Lonawala Khandala Ghat’, ‘Kidnap’, and ‘Rangrasia’ .
Paresh is planning a comedy movie for which he has completed the script and would go on floor early next year.
“I have been inspired by mentally challenged children whom I used to teach earlier, and their freedom of action is what I try to make animation students throw away their inhibition and learn about the body movement, expressions, posture, which can be generated through computer graphics to add realism to the animated objects”, he said.
Animators, he said, are not only the creators of character but also the directors and actors to infuse life into inanimate graphics who come alive and entertain once it is executed with perfection.
Animation is being used extensively in the field of advertising, cinema, television, education, simulation for health and aviatiopn, besides hi-end gaming industries that offer immense opportunities for a career in the industry to the Indian youngsters.
Paresh informed that at the moment there are over 70 full-length animated feature films being produced in the country including remake of many live-action movies including Shivaji, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Sholay, Andaaz Apna Apna, to name a few.
