Hyundai Motor India has undertaken a series of developmental activities under Hyundai Motor India Foundation(HMIF) as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility.It has earlier announced that Health related developmental services would be given priority in this year. Towards this, it has taken up the task of renovating Kanchipuram Government Hospital for improving its infrastructure facilitiesbesides providing with the latest medical equipment. Accordingly, a sum of Rs.1 Crore has been apportioned for repairing and renovating the building and again Rs. 20 lakhs for procuring and installing the latest required medical equipment to treating the needy.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. H.S. Lheem, Managing Director, Hyundai Motor India has thanked the Government of Tamilnadu for giving thenecessary permissionto renovate the Hospital for serving the public with its updated modern medical equipment.He said that the Hospital is in ‘ready to use’ condition and could start functioning immediately.
The function was attended by a galaxy of dignitaries, which include Tmt. P. Kamalambal, M.L.A., Kanchipuram, Thiru. M.F. Farooqui, I.A.S., Principal Secretary to Government of Tamilnadu - Industries Department, Thiru. V.K. Subburaj, I.A.S., Principal Secretary to Government of Tamilnadu - Health and Family Welfare, Thiru. Santhosh K. Mishra, I.A.S., District Collector - Kanchipuram, other Government officials and Staff members of Hyundai Motor India.
