The nominations were adjudged by an eminent jury of professionals and were evaluated on the criteria of innovation to deliver business value, creation of competitive advantage, optimization of business processes, enabling growth and improving relationships with customers.
Sterlite’s has implemented a unique end-to-end traceability platform that is integrated with its ERP platform for the entire manufacturing value chain at its Power Conductors facilities. The system was initiated on the basic premise that automation has intrinsic benefits of data integrity and data reliability. Since the trace data is automatically entered into the ERP servers from the barcodes scanned, Sterlite has also been able to free a significant amount of its valued manpower resource to perform value-adding activities, rather than mere manual data entry. The implemented system ensures end-to-end traceability of the raw material and intermediate products that has been used for producing any particular finished product, simplifying inventory management and enhancing customer support.
